R.O.K.
Most companies measure ROI, meaning a “return on investments” which makes sense.
But have you ever measured your R.O.K.?
As a leader, I am sure you are always measuring costs involved versus the return made.
You are constantly measuring hours of labor, amount of products utilized, and other expenditures to reach your productivity and income goals.
You probably don’t even know what I am talking about.
Let me ask you this…
Do you want to lower turnover costs?
Do you want to increase employee engagement?
Would you like to create long lasting, satisfied customers?
Then you might want to start intentionally incorporating KINDNESS, yes, I said KINDNESS, as a powerful business strategy.
When companies intentionally focus on creating people-first cultures and lead with kindness, teaching their employees to as well, all the things you are measuring improve.
Every. Single. One.
Jill Lublin, author of “The Profit of Kindness” talks about seven pathways in business that can change the trajectory of the work and the results.
These pathways are:
Compassion
Flexibility
Patience
Positivity
Generosity
Gratitude
Connection
Believe it or not, research supports that when you lead your teams with these values and encourage them to utilize them with one another and your customer base, you will have great return on everything else.
So, “Be Kind & Raise Your Bottom Line!” as I like to say!
